Director of Risk and Compliance

As Director of Risk and Compliance, Rich leads Clarifire's governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives. He focuses on protecting our clients by ensuring Clarifire complies with industry standards, regulations, laws, and client requirements by overseeing internal and external audits, including SOC 2 and KY3P, third-party risk management, and developing policies and procedures. Rich also serves as the primary point of contact for clients regarding cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.

With over 25 years of experience, including 2 as an auditor, Rich has worked in various high-impact roles, including as an engineer in the US Army, a business process improvement consultant at KPMG, and a principal systems engineer at Raytheon. His focus on innovation helps Clarifire maintain its competitive edge in a rapidly evolving market.

Rich holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in engineering. He has presented papers on cybersecurity and holds a patent in the field. His professional certifications include CISSP, ISSMP, CGRC, and ITIL.

Outside of work, Rich enjoys adventure travel, hiking, swimming, boating, and metalworking.
